The 2025 Summer Youth Trip -

Youth from four of our Liberti Communion churches went with Bold Hope to the Dominican Republic.

Here’s a photo journey so you can see a slice of our trip!

Youth on mission, dancing and holding hands in a joyful outdoor setting, surrounded by children and other people, with trees and a wooden structure overhead.

Smiles, holding hands, braiding hair & jumping into community!

The gospel community and shared connection is a clear tribute to the work that our partners at Bold Hope have spent so much time investing in as they pursue sharing the gospel.

The kids (both the Dominican/Haitian kids, and our own youth!) were so open and ready for relationship — basically as soon as we stepped foot into neighborhoods.

We’re there a short time, but these kids already know and are known by the local leaders - and groups like us get to jump into being ambassadors of the JOY of the gospel from moment one.

Bold Hope staff are local Dominicans and Haitians

They’ve built relationships with the families in the communities they bring us to. They set the tone and then bring so much in teaching us about these communities and how we can help.

Two women standing on an open-air stage, speaking to a seated group of children and adults. The setting appears to be a community or educational event under a wooden roofed structure with tropical plants in the background.

A man playing a saxophone at a celebration decorated with pink and blue balloons and red curtains.

As we’d walk through the neighborhoods to invite kids, Bold Hope staff knew children by name and where they lived, the kids would call out “Americanos!” and start running, knowing there was fun ahead.

At morning and afternoon VBS clubs, we sang and danced, shared Bible stories, played games, did crafts. We worked to bring piles of soil for new garden spaces.

Mornings, afternoons, evenings, we also had lots of time to spend connecting with each other
